Seriously. Add shiny effects:
1) Blurred stars
2) Gradient circle
3) White lines running along the pistol during animation
The effects 1) and 2) should appear/disappear periodically, because they depend on reflection from the sun.
You could make a special moment, when the shine of the pistol blinds someone.
