It's fine man. We can wait :v

Your name is Tobias?

Do it if it feels good. Take a break for a while, and you'll come back stronger, better, because you expect more from your 'work'. Nothing beats the high of a completed thing!

We look forward to whatever you might produce

Take a break if you need to

@GabrielBarsch remember? That's exactly what I felt... ...no objectives in my life.

Well, this goes into the "meaning of life" question and religion/philosophy.
If you don't like animating, then find a way to animate easier or a point of view from which you enjoy it more. Think about the many, many people who are going to watch your animation and vote 5, think about the front page, winning the Madness Day prize, the eternal glory, etc.
Maybe you should try to do something else, or simply wait... and train your skills at drawing, programming, composing, playing instruments, riding skates, whatever you feel like.
Just do not waste your time on talking with random people about nothing and being depressed.

You don't have to get anything done, Tobias. You were told by yourself to get something done, yet you are in complete control over whether or not you want to make any progress, or completely step down from your work all together.

We're not waiting on you for anything really. When and if your projects get finished will be seen as a great contribution, not a delayed production. (In my eyes at least.)

Regardless of what anyone else thinks, get your priorities finished first, then get your means of entertainment out of the way.

Yeah, man...I don't know really know what I'm doing in life, either. I know I -have- to finish community college because I -have- to transfer to a larger university because I -have- to graduate from one to get a good job which I -have- to -have- in order to survive. Ugh...

I don't see where my life is going or where I'm going to end up. I just see a vague outline of goals I know my family and society expects me to accomplish. I mean, it's not that I DON'T want to graduate from a four year university, I just don't really see the point, since, as I said earlier, I don't really see where my life is headed, ya know?

And I'm not trying to turn attention on this post from you to myself, but it seems like you, your friend, and I are all stuck in similar situations. We may be in different points in life, but it sounds to me like the three of us are chained by stagnation to our respective points. It can be depressing. I'm not exactly sure if this is what you or your friend are going through, but it kinda sounds like it. Maybe it's just me. I'm sure we can all agree, though, that it's just a shame when the moments and passions that we should be enjoying most in life seem to dry up--like a raisin in the sun.

Well, in any case, good luck to you and your friend. Sorry for the paragraphs of ranting, haha. Hope you're able to get it all sorted out, though.

I feel the same way. When I'm actually enjoying a project I have no problem devoting most of my free time to doing it. But when I start getting bored of it, and I force myself to do it, it just eats away at me, and instead of enjoying my time, I'm just forcing myself to abandon my otherwise free time.

Well, I hope things work out great for you, and you return with an assortment of awesome animations!

yeah everyone needs to take a break from time to time , we'll be here for you when you're back :)

Have you considered just handing it off to someone else? Nobody else has quite the same style as you, but if it's causing you this much trouble then it might be better to just wash your hands of the whole mess. There's no point in putting so much work into something that's affecting you negatively in real life.
